Calgary has one for every player already, they are 3 lbs lighter which is huge. Anyone notice if the riders are using these in TC?

CALGARY -- What Stampeders receiver Ken-Yon Rambo likes the most about his new helmet is how his head looks in it.
The combination of the Speed helmet and his opaque visor makes him feel a bit like Darth Vader.
"I do look good in it," Rambo said Sunday on the first day of training camp for the defending Grey Cup champions.
"If you look good, you play good."
Ahh the d-bags are out in full force in Cowtown. If you look good you play good... what a preening yahoo.

I realize I'll probably get toasted for this, but back in High School ball, I kind of somewhat shared this philosophy... although he's missing a big step.
For me it was:
Look Good ---> Feel Good ---> Play Good
If I thought I looked like like a wuss, then ya, I think my play would be crap. If I thought I looked good, and thus perhaps more intimidating to the opponent, I felt like I had that slight edge... I know its all cognitive and perhaps a little silly, but its how it was for me!
Perhaps me being a 17 year old teenager had something to do with it? lol

Those are just as ugly as the Revolution ones. Why can't Riddell just take the old style helmet with its style and make that one concussion proof? Why do they gotta mess around with a good thing? Guarantee you that alot of guys will still not be wearing them cause it still looks brutal.

I watched some sportsnet clips of the Eskimo's camp and thought, those helmets look different but didn't think much of it until now.
My bet is most of them are trying it out as well.

I completely agree. Mind you I AM a 17 year old teenager right now, but I can say that when you think you look good you definitely feel better about how you play.

The Rider have a few players wearing the new helmets. O'Day, McCullough, Foord, and Szarka are all wearing them at practice.

Good for you. We are talking about the looks of helmets, and if you don't want to read it then don't. Lots of other people and players like the old Riddell helmets and won't be changing. Only guys that may change are the O-Line guys would be my guess.
