Twas worth the early alarm clock on a Saturday! I love beating the Russians. Maybe a little harsh... but I enjoy seeing their tears at the end.
One more to go!
GO CANADA GO!
P.S. Rick Nash is amazing!!!

Jonas Hoglund (sp?) has scored for Sweden 1- 0
This brings out an interesting debate. Is Sweden going to be Canada's newest rivalry, or, where does it rank? Russia is arguably our biggest rivalry ('72, '87, '92 Winter Olympics, countless World Juniors). The Americans, both the Mens and Women's competitions have been intense. So, what are your opinions? IMO its 1. Russia 2. Sweden 3. U.S. 4. Czech Republic/Czechslovakia

I think Sweden might be one of our biggest rivals on the International Scale. We usually struggle with them in round robin, but take em out when it comes time to the medal rounds. The US and Russia, I think is just the intensity of the game is imediatly boosted up and the fans get more into it...

I have to agree that the intensity with Russia and the U.S. games are high, but could that be matched by Sweden in the near future, especially with the Rick Nash situation a few games ago?
