...and need some help.
Is it hard to get good tickets?
Where do the players go after a game?
Where do players hang out?
What are the best bars and eating places?
When are pratices?
Where is the best place to buy some 'Rider stuff?
Did the 'Riders have 'QB Clubs' where fans can meet players?

My trip will be in July. Any suggestions?
Any tips are much needed!

Hey, Can't anser everything for you but I'll try a couple.
You should be able to get good tickets with a little early planing no problem.
Not sure where the players go after the game or hang out
Best bars, I've heard New Yorx?? Whatever you do, stay away from the Jolly Roger. This one actually kinda depends on how old you are.
practise times are posted on the www.saskriders.ca page every week.
Rider Stuff = The Sotre at Taylor Field
The Riders do alot of PR stuff but as far as a certain place to go to meet players, none that I know of... hope this helps. Have fun in the Queen City!

You can meet the players as they leave the stadium after a game. You just need to stand around the office doors (right next to the ticket office doors). Easier to meet them after a game than before a game as they all arrive at different times and some pretty early.

-Buy your tickets asap to ensure you have the best seat possible.
-The players frequent Gabbo's on Dewdney Avenue. Don't go to this bar, it sucks and usually there is trouble (i.e. fights, etc...)
-It depends, what makes a great bar for you. If you are on the hunt for nice looking ladies, then may I suggest New Yorks and 2044. Both of these bars are on Dewdney Avenue. If you are more into a pub style bar, McNally's and Bushwackers on Dewdney (right beside NY & 2044), OHanlons's on Scarth Street, or Earls/Bonzinni's (Albert St south). For food, I've always enjoyed Bushwackers and it's close to the bars after supper. Places like Mongolie Grill, OHanlons is good, Earls. We have a lot of solid restaurants. If you want a real good (a little more pricey) meal, Vic's Steak House, Memories, The Cottage, The Lakeshore, Danbry's and Golf's are all solid establishments.
-Practices usually runs daily from 11:00/11:30 til 1:00/1:30. Call the ticket office for confirmation though.
-Buy all you Rider gear from The Store at Taylor Field. All the money goes directly to the team.
-The best place to meet the Riders is right after practice. You can stand right at the gate as they walk buy. The majority are friendly but see how practice goes. If there is lot of tension and some pissed off guys, maybe try again the following day.

Hope this helps. See you at the game.

A lot of the guys go to Brewsters and Earls in the south end as well after games.

We usually head to a Boston Pizza after the games... have met Nealon Greene there as well as a few others. Also Rocky Butler was there after his big LD win. But yeah, the best place to actually get a chance to talk with them is after practice/training camp, etc.

One question though... kinda off topic... but I was reading the post about hot girls in Regina bars. Coming from S'toon, I've been to New Yorks a few times, and it was packed with hotties. Is this not still the case?

New Yorks is starting to go downhill, since the opening of 2044 most people go there instead. New Yorks is still decent, but doesnt get busy till like 1230ish, and its not even that busy....

It is about 2-3 blocks away from Habanos and New Yorks. The adddress is 2044 Dewdney. It really is nothing fancy inside or anything. I for one don't like it all to much but it is the place to go on Saturdays now. New Yorx usually gets all the people that can't get into 2044 which is why it doesen't start getting busy till midnightish...

Yeah, I was outside of 2044 last weekend and someone got tossed up against a car.....not sure who that was ;).

2044 however is starting to take a slow decline, like last weekend, it wasnt gong busy by 1030 like normal, it was odd. I really don't care where to go in this city, as long as there is beer and some scenery, im all good.

Avoid Stats, or even JD's for example............most of the broads that frequent those establishments have mullets, or their rear-ends appear to have been stung by a wasp, i.e. swollen.

For sure, night life in this city is funny, it sucks when you have to factor whats going on in the city to know what bar to go to......which makes me wonder, what bar do i hit tonight....

Thank you, one and all, for your comments.
What time to the bars close?
A few years ago I was able to see a game in Regina, and I reaaly enjoyed my visit. And I loaded up on items at The Store! However I saw a T-shirt somewhere else, with the cry: Just Win One! on it. I passed buying, but later changed my mind. It would have been a great joke iyem!
Are good card/collectable spots I should visit?

Couldn't really help you with close time, usually around 12-1ish my memory goes a little foggy. Good Times...as for the owl comments, I love that bar, but it is starting to get younger and younger, I always find that once school ends it gets a lot younger. Meh, to each their own.

Could very well be! Oh well, you will get Minors at any bar you go to in Regina. The Owl is weird for the age gap, some weekends it's like my age 21-23, and then other weekends its like 18-20. Oh well, its still fun either way.

18's not a MINOR technically, unless regina the age is 19.

But i had never heard of the Owl

to drink...yeh we are kinda bassackwards in that respect, I mean, your an adult in this province when you are 18...but you cant drink until your 19...either make everything 18 or 19...not some of both...Just my opinion.

Yup that's a gay law. 18 in Manitoba . . . that's the way it should be.

Quebec is 18. I remember because I went to Ottawa when I was 18 and my cousin took me across the bridge to the casino in Hull so we could drink and gamble. She was funny that way.

Wrong. ;) In Quebec the legal age is only a suggestion. I was buying booze and cigs in Le Belle Province when I was 16. Never ID'd once. Same thing with France. Except I was 14 then.

You can join the infantry and get shot in Afghanistan at 17. Bloody ridiculous.

I like what they do in Finland. 16 you can buy beer/wine. 20 you can go into spirits. That's good balance.
