Alright, who is going out and buying their Stones tickets this weekend?? Sure, it's not the great deal I got in TO. $20 Stones concert, plus all the rest (the amazing SARS festival). No matter how much you have to pay to see the Stones though, it's money well spent! Make sure you all get to see them before THEY die!! lol Kinda morbid, but true!!

LOL! I'm not so sure a couple of them haven't already (just running on fumes, so to speak...) but, yeah, definitely a must-see if you get the chance.

Yes, the dino band thing is waaay over done but... that being said... these guys still put on one helluva show... (so long as they can keep Keith propped upright and monitor Charlie's pace-maker).

Actually, Kiss and Cher have been doing that for years, not the Stones.

The Stones have never referred to a tour as a farewell tour. Funny you should mention that, because Mick Jagger was on the radio yesterday afternoon and he said that he would never call a tour a "farewell tour"...he thinks it's a cheap money grab by fooling the fans into thinking that this will be the last opportunity to see them. They will just keep going until they don't feel like it anymore.

"Geezer rock" may not be your thing, but the Stones still put on a better show than 95% of the crappy new bands there out there these days. I've seen them twice, and both shows were absolutely outstanding.

They are rock legends & they helped pave the way for every band that is alive & well & has a recording contract today. I'll be 50 when they come to Calgary in late October & I've never seen them live. I hope I can get tickets before the concert is sold out in a matter of minutes this Saturday.

I hear that they slow Charlie's pacemaker on the slower songs and speed it up on the less-slow songs.

No Rolling Stones without Billy Wyman. They don't even have that Faces guy anymore, do they?...

That was the case even when he was a young man, I believe. :)

(Not exactly the world's most impressive drummer but the pacemaker certainly helps his time.)

I didn't see them live, but saw their Toronto Rocks performance on T.V.. all I have to say is AC DC kicked their asses and I don't even like AC DC that much. The stones have some great tunes, but they **** their diapers at SARSfest, haha.

Rich, come on now! lol Having BEEN there though, I will agree with you that AC/DC put on a better show. However, the Stones played much longer!! They're both legends, so it was amazing to see both of them! Maybe the Stones caught SARS on their way off the plane??!?!

Yes, however, wherever you sit in the Saddledome the sound is excellent!! Just being there is enough! And if you know people, it's cheaper! I don't know how many of you are from Regina, and those of you who are, how many take their cars to Auto Electric for service. Chris who works there got 4th row floor tickets for 250 I believe. Pays to know someone, considering they haven't even gone on sale to the public yet!!

Much as a Stones concert is great... for $250 or more, I'll go with a Rider jersey (or another share or two).

Saw them at Commonwealth Stadium in about '94. They do indeed put on a fantastic show.

There are certain things in life that make it worth living. Seeing the Stones doing Satisfaction live is one of them.

when do they go on sale?

I'm not sure but it'd likely be posted here when they do

go to www.rollingstones.com
click on tickets
scroll down to where you see the dates

also, asides from knowing somebody, the pre-sale(s) were available to anybody who had an American Express or Amercian Express Gold card OR if you joined a fanclub (for $100)

seeing them in '94 will have to do for me. watched half of their '97 show from the parking lot for free, not bad

I believe the Stones will continue touring even after they have died. With pullies and special effects, the shows should be better than they are now.

before their SARS-fest appearance in Toronto one of the ?'s asked of them was something like, (paraphrasing here, the question was longer and much more stupid): "you've seen the huge crowd here, how does this all feel?" Keef stepped up to the mike and answered "I'm waking up.... it feels great" :D

The Rolling Stones who will employ a long list of support acts during their upcoming tour--have announced that Beck, Our Lady Peace and Les Trois Accords will open on select dates.

Our Lady Peace and Les Trois Accords will open Aug. 28 in Ottawa, and will also join The Tragically Hip and Maroon 5 on the Sept. 3 bill in Moncton, New Brunswick. Beck is scheduled to perform Sept. 26 in Toronto.

Previously, the Stones' camp announced that Black Eyed Peas, Maroon 5, Pearl Jam and John Mayer Trio would open select dates. Details are below; other support acts will be announced.

Tickets for about 20 Rolling Stones shows have gone on sale over the last two weeks, and all logged quick sellouts, according to the Stones' website. Nonetheless, tickets for some shows--often single seats, and mostly in highest price ranges--could still be found on Ticketmaster.com on Thursday morning (5/26). (Ticketmaster is liveDaily's parent company.)

The Rolling Stones' public ticket on-sales for the coming week include three Canadian dates: Toronto, Ottawa and Moncton; there are no new U.S. on-sales scheduled for the Memorial Day holiday weekend.

The first leg of the Stones' 2005/2006 tour opens Aug. 21 in Boston. The jaunt wraps up Dec. 1 in Houston, and about 35 shows are confirmed so far. More North American shows are in the works for early 2006.

In addition to North America, the trek is expected touch down in Mexico, South America and the Far East (possibly including the band's first-ever performances in mainland China). The outing will end in Europe during the summer of 2006.

It's either that or have them charge $40 and then the scalpers turn around and charge $350. Take your pick. Me, I'd rather give that money to the performer.
